anti-natalism anti-natalism
anti-natalismo antenatalismas
anti-natalismos antenatalismos
antimatalisma anginata
hey everybody welcome to the launch yay
uh welcome everyone welcome to the
anti-natalism
international launch event um but i we i
also refer to it as annie
as well so you might hear us refer to it
as annie um
but thank you for coming whether you're
watching it as it's being streamed or
you're watching it on catch up
uh we are streaming on both youtube and
facebook so
hello to everyone on both those
platforms um
you may be here just because you've seen
the post on social media or you know one
of us
um but you may also have heard about the
event from the podcast we did
uh with amanda who is one of the
founders so she's here as well but she
also hosts the
exploring anti-natalism podcast
and we did a podcast with her um
which you may have listened to so you
might know a bit about what's coming up
um but we've got loads uh planned for
this evening this morning
the middle of the day wherever it how
whatever time it is where you are
and we've got loads planned for the um
the launch event and there's also
an after party as well so we'll be
constantly referring to the discord
throughout the event
but definitely join our discord the link
will be in the description of wherever
you're watching this
and come on to the discord and join the
after party or beginning
it will be beginning straight after the
event ends um and hopefully we'll all be
there
um so uh what have we got in store
today so uh you got loads of stuff so
we've got um
a ex exclusive lecture from kareem

which is going to be excellent and we've
also got music from ash hunter
as well which is also going to be uh
supreme
uh we've also got loads of special
guests which we're not actually going to
tell you who they are
but they will be appearing throughout
the event so you've got those to look
forward to
and one of the final things i want to
say in this intro
before i introduce everyone else is that
we'll be running a contest
throughout the event and also prior to
the event as well so there's a couple of
different times you can enter the
contest

designs as well and if you want a chance
to win one of those
all you have to do is just sign up to
our mailing list which you can do on our
website
and we'll put some video in now of how
you can actually do that and just
show you so no one you know get loses
out on the opportunity to get a free
t-shirt
now we can just go straight into
everyone introducing themselves so all
the founders of annie are here
um so i think we can just go around and
just do a quick
introduction of each of ourselves hello
i'm tedious
hey everybody i'm late hey everyone i'm
laurence
hey everybody i'm amanda hi this is anug
namaste this is prashima from india
if you'd like to learn more about each
of us please go check out the interview
that we did on the exploring
anti-natalism podcast and you can also
find out more about each of us on our
website
okay now let's start this thing off
right by kicking it off with a song
it is with great pride that i present to
you the amazingly talented
ak hunter with his song the sun
take it away ash
[Music]
the sun is a demon
in the sky shining light giving rise
to life
[Music]
the song is a demon
in the sky shut it off and let
everything die
leave this land barren in the light
cause the sun is a demon
in the sky does
the universe know
the way that we know
dream but i'm not too happy
[Music]
so
in the blackness of space
where deepest fears
[Music]
goodbye to
the pain from the demon
in the sky
[Music]
so
big up and uh congratulations
to everybody involved on the launch
of antenatalism international
good luck with everything in the future
i'll be there every step of the way
thank you ash that was phenomenal uh
please make sure to go visit ak hunter's
channel where you can find the
incredible animated music video version
of the sun that he did recently
um just released today as well is ash's
new
album uh no child left behind so make
sure to go check out
um the youtube channel and subscribe for
that as well
thank you so much again ash and now
lawrence is going to tell you a little
bit more about anti-natalism
international
and all of our objectives uh yeah thanks
amanda so i'll go
uh just really quickly briefly over what
annie is and then more
um we'll go more into our objectives in
a minute
but um so basically anti-natalism
international is the world's
first international organization that is
centered around this increasingly
popular
um philosophy um of anti-natalism
essentially you know the um
the rejection of procreation on ethical
grounds
and um annie welcomes uh
anti-proactive thinkers from uh all
regions of the world and
all schools of thought and as an
organization ali really wants to play
um a key role in helping facilitate
getting
uh antiprocative thought more into the
mainstream
of society um so to achieve that
what we've done is we've sort of laid
out 10 objectives that we have
and we just want to go through those 10
objectives
with people now so what i'll do is i'll
hand over to
lathe to go over the first objective
so number one resources and education
creating resources and making existing
resources
more accessible for example through
translation
to benefit the anti-natalist community
and further
outreach efforts in wider society
objective number two combating stigma
combating stigma surrounding
childless individuals abortion vasectomy
right to die
extinction and other viewpoints related
to the anti-pro-creative movement
objective three securing dignity and
guardianship this involves
engaging in a wider effort to secure
basic dignity of individuals
both humans and non-humans and in life
and in death
this includes ethical practices of
adoption which focus
more on benefits of those being adopted
as well as right to die
number four connecting communities
helping to build and grow the global
anti-pro-creative community and
connecting those different communities
there is vhemp
ethylis antenatalists chelsea and others
number five
normalizing antenatalism normalizing and
increasing awareness of the terminology
of antenatalist philosophy in mainstream
society
objective number six making child free
tools and services more accessible
working to make non-procreation more
practically accessible
and advocating the use of methods to
prevent birth
example increasing access to
contraception sterilization services
abortion facilities etc antenatalism
international
condemns the poland government's
repressive stance on abortion
we demand that the polish government to
stop the publication and enactment of
the abortion law
objective 7 opposing assisted
reproductive methods
opposing the creation of new or
continuation of existing assisted
reproductive technologies and methods
number eight study and research
conducting or helping to facilitate
research into issues pertaining to
non-procreation and anti-natalism
objective number nine
encouraging voluntary extinction
generating conversations around
and encouraging a moment towards
voluntary ethical
human extension and or extinction of all
sentient beings
number 10 preventing procreation of
sentient beings
opposing the breathing of all sentient
beings
and encouraging the prevention of their
procreation
okay thank you so much everybody um we
want to make it clear that antinatalism
international does not
intend to be to act as a spokesperson
for the antenatalist community
but instead you know we hope to
facilitate the community becoming a
stronger spokesman for itself
um just a quick note that everything
above the about section and the
antenatalism international
um 10 objectives are on the website uh
so
please feel free to go check those out
anytime we hope that you go and read
them
so when we were putting together this
event we thought it would be really cool
to ask
a few members of our community that
age-old question
of why are you an anti-natalist
so we're going to play the first
response we got back now
and that is by the author of
of happiness and children the evolution
of ethical thought
and the demographic dimensions of
problems and of course that is
miguel steiner we are not born free
since birth we are trained to our needs
and vulnerability every soul is a
potential of suffering
there's hunger disease accidents unmet
needs
violence and the human speciality
torture of course global suffering
increases with population growth
this that's what we can call the
demographic
dimension of pain the last century
with about three billion in the 1950s
was the worst century that becomes
victims of war and hunger nowadays
we are an aunt hill of nearly 8 billion
people
so it is not strange that
more than a million people commit
suicide
every year for example
your child will be a new scenario of
probable suffering
you can't guarantee its well-being you
just know
that he or she will die
nature be may be stronger than reason
and control may be difficult but before
you decide to have a baby
think about the risky fate of your
living
creation it is something more than you
desire
it's a new life and a new death
and a matter of your responsibility
to beget children is a rather reckless
decision
i would say it's not ethical
preventive compassion is better
so that was miguel everyone so thank you
so much miguel for submitting that and
everyone please make sure to head to his
website and check out uh
everything that's on there the link is
in the description
and also he has a youtube channel you
can check out as well so
we're actually gonna go straight into
another submission we got from um
uh our next guest um and this next guest
achieved global fame in 2019
for famously threatening to sue his
parents for
bringing him into existence introducing
the international anti-natalist
superstar raphael samuel
hi i'm rafael aka in hilarnon
and the reason i'm a 1980 list is
because i just don't see the point in
this entire exercise
like even if it was complete pleasure
and no
pain what is the damn point
but the fact remains that there is pain
and there is a lot of
pointless pain for this sentient piece
of flesh
that is eventually going to die for
absolutely no reason at all
so even if you die a billionaire so what
and eventually everyone's going to
forget you and even if they won't
why do you want to be remembered so
that's the reason i'm an antenatalist
the absolute
sheer obvious vast
pointlessness of the whole exercise
excellent thank you raphael samuel um so
again make sure to follow rafael samuel
on all the social media you'll find him
everywhere and now passing over to
amanda to
introduce the website tour all right
fantastic thank you so much laurence um

stuff so this is
excellent resource for people who want
to read about anti-mutualism
the next section is anti-needless
handbook the antenatalist handbook is
compiled by late and lauren this
handbook has some common questions
that natalists you know throughout
anti-needless so this is a fun read
you should check this out this is the
community section and this is where
anthony's across the world

international.com to see
everything
okay everybody ladies and gentlemen the
time has come i would like to introduce
to you all our special guest lecturer
for the evening
everyone please welcome renowned
anti-natalist historian and the author
of several books on the subject
most recently antenatalism and handbook
kareem akerma kareem will be speaking
with us today regarding a variety of
subjects related to anti-natalism
including
anti-natalist enlightenment the never
act rule prime morality
and parental guilt on behalf of everyone
at a i our most sincere thanks to mr
akurma for preparing this presentation
for us all today
and without further ado i am so pleased
to give you
kareem akerma hello
anti-natalism international my name is
kareem akarma
i am very happy to be with you today at
least
digitally in my short lecture
i will talk about antinatalistic
enlightenment
as well as about objective complicity
and subjective complicity
objectively speaking whoever procreates
is complicit in the causation
of a lot of suffering that cannot be
justified
ethically this is so because
if mankind ceased to procreate today
there would be no more wars no more
famines
nor pandemics in a hundred years
however the vast majority of people
is not aware of this which is to say
people are not aware of their being
complicit
in the production of suffering in most
cases
objective complicity has no subjective
counterpart
this is where anti-natalistic
enlightenment
comes into play as antenatalists
we should try to bring about a
subjectivization
of objective complicity
how can we achieve that people become
aware of the part
they play in the production of future
calamity
a feasible solution would be to appeal
to ethical ideas that most people would
subscribe to
anyway one such concept
is the never-react rule
the never-rack rule belongs to a range
of antenatalistic
concepts that work like
ethical screwdrivers
we can apply these antenatalistic tools
in order to screw open the otherwise
inaccessible cage of pronatalism
the never act rule reads as follows
never act in such a way that somebody
will die
as a consequence of your action
except cases of self-defense
or cases of a sister dying
this is a rule most people will
subscribe to
when they subscribe to it they are not
aware of the fact
that if we think about having children
we think about acting exactly in such a
way
that somebody will die as a consequence
of our erection
so if we explain the never wrecked rule
to people
we make objective complicity transparent
we subjectivize objective complicity
and then ideally the scales
will fall from people's eyes because
they have subscribed to
a rule which contradicts
their want to have children
and they said before that it's all right
we create a conflict a moral conflict
when we make
people subscribe to
the netherrec rule and
we may find out that
egoistic reasons and aspirations
count more for people when it comes
to having children than
ethical rules which of course is a
problem for all those people
who previously had endorsed
the never wrecked rule by the way the
never wrecked rule is not the same as
saying
if you produce a child you kill somebody
because we cannot kill somebody who does
not exist yet
we cannot kill somebody whom we as the
saying goes
call into existence
the never wrecked rule is much more
precise analytically
than the claim that we killed someone by
begetting him or her
the never wreck rule can serve as a
powerful tool
to bring it home to defenders of
procreation
that there is something wrong about
having children
this is so because the vast majority of
people
will agree that it is almost always
wrong
to act in such a way that a human being
will die
as a consequence of our action
another tool to make it explicit that
procreation
is wrong is the concept of primordiality
let me explain most parents
tend to say or would say when asked
that loss of a child is
the worst thing that can happen to them
astonishingly most parents
never reflect on the fact
that if we mirror
this utterance loss of a child is
the worst thing that can happen to me if
we mirror this
we end up saying loss of my parents
is was or will be
among the worst things that can happen
to me or that has happened to me
i try to catch
this intricate
concept by calling it prime mortality
parents take it for granted that
somehow they will die
before their children which is to say
they are no longer there when their
children
will die the same parents
who had declared it'll be a catastrophe
for me
should my children die while i'm alive
have no problems at all
assuming that their children will die
some later point in time but
they will die many of them will end up
in toronto camps
which is a more precise
description for old people's
old people's homes
when asked why they take it for granted
that and don't have any problems with
them the fact that their children
will die at some point in time
they would answer well but it's a it's
it's natural
everyone has to die
this doesn't seem to be very convincing
because
death of a child cannot be
extremely bad as long as their
respective parents are still alive
but not so bad or not bad at all
once the perished the parents have
perished or have
have stopped to live
now parents who are
pushed to answer would say it
is natural that anybody will die at some
point in time but it
isn't natural at all because
being a parent is natural at all
people can decide whether or not to have
children
so there is no
force in nature which
obliges people to have children
everybody can
easily abstain from having children
this is caught in the concept of
primordiality
did that only because
you as a parent die
be will die before me as a child
don't assume this is not problematic it
is a huge problem
perhaps parents assume
that their grown-up children are not
childish any longer
this is correct but we shouldn't forget
that even
at an age of 30 40 50 or 60
that is when our parents usually die
um we remain their children
so um
it is a good tool is it seems to be an
excellent tool
an internationalistic tool a tool of
antenatalistic enlightenment
to talk about the concept of
prime mortality which reveals that
the utterance parents utter utterance
my child's death is
the worst thing that could happen to me
is very egoistic
as because once um the parents
die the children are left alone
as simple as that
now the concept of parental guilt
parental guilt resides in the fact that
objectively speaking all parents
are the originators of
a lot of suffering subjectively speaking
however
this isn't valid
parental guilt is graded it depends
especially on the amount of
anti-natalistic enlightenment
parents to be are actual parents
have been confronted with
parental guilt also
is in relation to
information to available information
today in the information age information
is available
[Music]
to an ether to unknown degree
when i say that parental good is graded
um this becomes obvious also if we look
at the phenomenon of of climate change
people who in view of climate change
still have children who will carry
upon their shoulders a lot of
parental guilt obviously because
in the face of a lot of
valid or at least convincing information
they still did not abstain from having
children
climate change is just
one point in case which renders
subjective parental guilt into
subjective parental guilt in the last
century
we've seen two world wars
originating from a country and that is
germany
which was among the most developed
country countries nobody would have
expected
i would have seen a posit this lighted
possibility
for the coming of world wars because
everybody was so civilized
which is to say atrocities such as wars
or
world wars can happen anytime in any
civilized
country or region of the world
in the face of all this of wars
natural catastrophes of imminent climate
change
the amount of parental guilt is
increasing
the amount of parental guilt was
considerably lower before
before the world wars
it did exist it did exist in as much as
hunger was widespread
but women
didn't have a lot to say when it came to
when it came to procreational questions
so especially for women procreation
procreation just
took place as a as a natural
disaster today it's much different in
the information age
parental guilt has reached an unseen
amount of
of density and there is a lot of
parental guilt around us
now if we take parental guilt as a
concept
to screw open the pronator cage
we might succeed in convincing people to
abstain from procreation because
especially in the face of climate change
it's obvious
that anybody who procreates now
will be responsible for his or her
children's
suffering in a few decades
in maybe just 10 20 30 or 40 years
when the parents see
the concept of primo prime mortality
have already perished
but the children will be there
and will have to suffer through what was
foreseeable and what is foreseeable now
so anybody who procreates
now carries upon
her or his shoulders a huge amount
of parental guilt if we bring this home
to want to to to be
to want to be parents we might succeed
in making people refrain from
procreation
interestingly enough we find in
literature
many confessions of
parental guilt there wasn't a lot of
anti-natalistic enlightenment in the
past
but still there are many parental many
confessions of parental guilt
a good case in point is thomas munn
let me read a quotation from his diaries
which he wrote
in the years 19 18
to 19 21
quote when i came back
the child's ear was just being bound he
was rolling about and crying so badly
it tore my heart in two when one brings
children into the world
one creates a suffering that is outside
oneself
an objective suffering that one does not
oneself
feel but only watches others feel
and that one feels guilty about
so much for
a very interesting and convincing
confession of parental guilt
the concept of parental guilt might
prove very helpful
when we try to convince people
not to procreate
[Music]
a word
[Music]
see the flowers
supposed to bring joy
[Music]
this will happen by the way
[Music]
[Music]
is
[Music]
in order to come to the
[Music]
[Music]
nobody wanted to exist
[Music]
yes
[Music]
as of today you're no longer
[Music]
[Music]
is
huge thank you again to mr karima kerma
for the excellent lecture
and you also just heard an original song
written by mr akerma called
never to have been performed by his band
afrohauer and i'm so sorry if i'm
pronouncing that incorrectly
um please visit the band's website to
learn more about
them and what they do beautiful website
by the way link below
um you can also find links to kareem's
website below
uh his youtube channel lentil vegetation
where you can hear even more of his
music
and also a link on his website
specifically you'll find
to where you can hear uh never to have
been uh even more
and now i'm gonna hand you back over to
lawrence thanks amanda yeah so we've got
the next clip coming up
and that is from the author of the art
of guillotine procreators
and it is that is of course the one the
only
theophil de garo there is actually a
link in the description
to a new english translation to part of
his book
so definitely go check that out but for
now um why are you an antenatalist theo
mata
foreign amazing thank you theo i hope
you're able to get some sleep after you
recorded that clip
um everyone definitely go check out uh
theo's website also check out the
translation of part of his book as i
said before in the description
and also he has a youtube channel that
has loads of tv segments and interview
that he's done
so definitely go check that out as well
okay i think we're gonna have uh
one more word from another special guest
now before we talk about our one-year
plan
so let's have a word with the founder of
the voluntary human extinction movement
or
vehement less unite why are you an
anti-natalist less
i'm les knight a volunteer with the
voluntary human extinction movement
like many of us i began advocating
antenatalism long before i knew that's
what it was called
in the early 1970s i began advocating
non-procreation
and voluntary human extinction for the
benefit of the environment
deep ecology caring more about the
biosphere than about
humanity i've heard this called
misanthropic
antenatalism but i'm not a misanthrope
i still care more about the entirety of
life than our one species
but these days i'm equally concerned
about the tragic lives
that someone born today will experience
it's unlikely we're going to avoid some
serious chaos
as we continue into overshoot i've heard
this called
philanthropic antinatalism so i guess i
subscribe to both
misanthropic and philanthropic
antinatalism
but no matter what type of antinatalism
we agree with or what our motivations
are
we can all work together to increase
awareness of the benefits
of not creating more of us than we
already have
when we live long and die out
thank you so much for that less okay
everybody please make sure to go visit
the official vehement website to learn
more about vehement
links below okay great so those were two
amazing clips
and we've got one more clip coming up
later on in the show but for now
uh we're just gonna go into three of the
initiatives that we've got coming up in
2021 so
we've got a whole one-year plan that we
do go into in a
bit more detail in the podcast so make
sure you check that out on exploring
anti-natalism
that's hosted by amanda but for now
we're just going to go into
three of our initiatives so i handed
over to lathe to go through the first
one
thank you uh so the first uh
plan is the film festival uh the
antenatalist film festival will be the
world's
first film festival to be dedicated
to anti-procreative thought it will be
held in october next year
but submissions are actually already
open so
please if you have a film of any sort
that engages with
anti-procreative ideas then please
submit it
submissions are free and can be in any
language
and you can make them via the
film freeway page for the festival that
can be
accessed through the initiatives
page on the a i website
because we want to reach a global
audience
and we also cannot predict uh what the
situation with kovid will be
uh the festival will be entirely online
hosted on the
a i website uh it's going to be great
they will they will be a words uh
judge panels opportunity for discussion
and loads
more uh so if you have any idea
brewing in the back of your mind for an
antenatal short or feature
than film now is your time to shine
all right so adopt an activist is an
initiative where
there are many people in the internet
list community who who have many great
ideas who want to do different projects
but don't have resources to do that and
on the other side we have many people
who have resources who can
help other people do something but don't
know where to go and how to do it
and you want to connect these two groups
together on a platform so adopt an
activist
would form a platform or like a
community board where
if you want to do something you
advertise your plan what you want to do
what's your idea
about activism of anti-natalism and
someone who wants to donate they can
come here and see how their donations
can be used up where they can donate
and so on we are very excited about this
initiative
so that it can help grow antenatals
community
and grow its reach i'll talk a few words
about antinetalist academy
our idea of internet list academy
broadly includes the concept of study
circles
workshops for enriching the knowledge of
existing volunteers
and coming up with some content creating
content for new members
this includes pamphlets handbook the
initial stages of the academy
uh includes regular videos by anugrah
and others um
and regular reading group events online
platforms where we come together to read
and discuss stuff together
the academy will also provide valuable
inputs for advocacy and policy team
which we plan to set up in the future
amazing thank you later patima and tejas
for going over those so
now we've got a second song by a k
hunter and that is get the snip
now this one's super relevant because if
you heard the podcast that we did before
as i mentioned uh you'll know that we
are hoping in the future to start a
vasectomy fund
uh now if you want more information
about that go and listen to the podcast
i'm not going to go into it now
but we have got get the snips so let's
take it away ash
[Music]
here's an idea for your life just a
little
cheap backfires one two three four five
six
[Music]
[Music]
messing with my baby get that scent
get that snip if you don't want to trip
well go get that snail
cause i don't need no children hanging
around my home
that's why i got me fixed and that's why
i live alone i got that
[Music]
enjoy child free
if you don't want no mistakes then i'll
give you a tip baby get that
snake get that snap
if you wanna be legit well go get that
snip
cause i don't need no recourse when i
empty
my clips or got the snip
[Music]
[Music]
incubator get that one two three four
five six if you wanna be hit baby get
that snip that
snip that snap
if you wanna behave well go get that
stand
if you don't want to trip well man go
get that snip
if you want to be legit go
get that snail
uh yeah and thanks again to ash for
sending in that clip
like uh i personally i just really like
that song because i'm planning to get
mine soon
um but anyway so moving on
uh the next thing we wanted to go over
with people is
upcoming events so uh
we plan for december not to really be
getting
into the nitty-gritty of all of the
initiatives we're going to do we're just
going to be focusing on
socializing getting to know people and
sort of introducing ourselves
to the wider antenatalist community
for december and to do that we've just
got
like a few you know light-hearted things
uh planned
so i'll just go through them now so uh
the first two things that will be
happening are just two
general hangouts so um
that'll just they will probably be
hosted on on our discord so make sure to
join that
if there's any technical issues we'll
just move it on to zoom because zoom is
reliable
but all the details for that you can get
on either our social medias
or on our website at the
upcoming events section so if you ever
want to know what
events are coming up just go to the
upcoming events section under the
communities tab
so we've got those two general hangouts
they'll probably be equally spaced
throughout
the month we haven't decided on specific
dates yet and then the other two things
are we're going to have an end of the
year quiz
uh like a big um antenatalist quiz
um so this is a bit like if you're from
the uk like i am you'll probably know
about the big fat quiz of the year
same principle but it's going to be all
relevant to you know anti-natalism being
child free all of that sort of stuff
and then the final thing is a christmas
day hangout because we realized that you
know
um a lot of people don't i mean don't
have anyone to celebrate christmas with
or they kind of see christmas in kind of
like a different way to most people
um and it can also be sort of like an
alienating experience
if you're anti-natalist or um you know
just sort of like slightly remove
society from society and in the way you
view things
um and so what we wanted to do is just
provide a christmas hangout where anyone
who's like that
or anyone else can just come on and hang
out throughout christmas day
so i think that's everything we've got
for december so
now i'll hand over to laith who's going
to talk about the
contest and the winner we have a winner
uh congratulations for the winner we
want to be
announcing who's the winner here for
privacy issues we're gonna contact the
winner via email
so please wait for our email
congratulations
okay well i think we only have one more
special guest left for this evening
and so it is with great pride that i
introduce to you the creator of ephelism
in mendom all right a brief statement
regarding my
impression of the human condition i'd
argue that life is a brutal game played
for no defensible reason
that there's nothing logical about
creating needs that don't need to exist
and something less logical about
inefficiently satisfying them
i'd say the fruit of the tree of life
can only be eaten by parasites
and only people who can justify
parasitic existence can see sense in it
that only a parasite likes to eat
parasites
you know i'd say that only the
intellectually bankrupt can see
profit in imposing loss making losers
isn't a good game to play and that's the
only game
life provides it's always about
competition
it's always about selecting a few
and destroying most
if deserve is going to have nothing to
do with it
then we should have nothing to do with
it so we can't make life
voluntary and essentially perfect
and beyond complaint there would be no
point in having it
but i'd also argue there's no point in
creating that either
without the competition without the win
and loot with lou's game
there really isn't a game to play
there's no need for it
the universe isn't enhanced by it
it serves no purpose only people who see
profit in making losers can make any
sense out of it
life is the bloodiest of the blood
sports
it's more than just a dog fight or a
fight
it's the wastes is insane
crazy hard to even imagine
yeah yeah
it stalls my capacity to even function
to attempt contemplating how bad it is
all right nature will brutally kill one
million
just to kill one more a little bit later
it's that kind of inefficient it's
that's the only function it has
it doesn't care about the waste it
doesn't care about adding up the numbers
and coming up with some rational
strategy
doesn't care about being logical
it just functions and the function is
yeah give that one time to lay eggs and
i'll just slaughter the rest over here
and then after it's done laying the eggs
yeah we'll kill it
and that's what you're endorsing if
you're pro-life
you're just a baby killer
life makes a mess and we need to clean
all of it up
so you know yes we're intelligent
we can care we can do something we can
always find something to fix here some
wound to attempt to heal but the point
is we've got to stop
making the injuries we've got to stop
making reason for band-aids and cures
um we've got to stop it and
that's the only way to clean it up for
good
to stop this perpetual cycle of just
creating things
so they can realize they're in a mess
realize they have an
obligation to put on a janitor suit and
clean up a mess they didn't make
i don't want that job forever and you
really don't have a right to keep
making me do it so
that would be my statement in brief
thank you so much and mendom uh please
make sure everybody to go check out
donutgod.com as well as ethelism.com to
learn more
uh also please subscribe to amendm on
youtube a
selection of relevant links can be found
below
oh well look what we have here one more
clip from one more very special guest
will everyone please give a warm welcome
to the author of better never to have
been
the harm of coming into existence the
one the only
david benatar
imagine that you had a magic wand if you
tapped a stone with this wand
the stone would become sentient and thus
capable of experiencing
both pain and pleasure as a sentient
stone
it would for example require and enjoy
hydration
but would experience parching thirst
when not exposed to water for protracted
periods
and would drown if covered in water
it would enjoy the warm rays of sun on a
lovely day
but it would experience hypothermia if
the environment became too cold
and hyperthermia if it became too hot
should you tap the stone should you not
the stone is no interest in becoming
sentient and it will
suffer and die if it does surely you
should leave all stones
unturned creating sentient frankenstones
would be a horror show in important ways
tapping the stone is like procreation
you create a sentient being where there
was
none a being that is liable to the
vicissitudes of fate
a being capable of suffering unspeakably
a being that will die
if procreation were not so natural and
normal
it would be seen for the tragedy and
travesty that it is
that is the very short version of why i
am an antenatalist
and why you should be too
